First Generation Assembly
Grace, Shalom and Joy be to you all.
Welcome to FGA. Please come in and look around. Take your time as we do not lock the doors nor turn out the lights.
The following areas are available: Homepage; About (including Mission and Belief Statements and Contact details); Maxi Bible Study Notes (studies that may take several weeks to work through); Mini Bible Study Notes (studies that may take a few hours or days to work through) and FAQs (with links to Study Notes).
FGA does not use advertising and will not ask for any donations. We believe in the provision of the Father in accomplishing His work.
FGA believes that all assemblies are for the building up of Believers, of teaching and equipping Believers enabling them to serve Father in the home, on the streets, in the workplace or whenever and wherever He calls us.
FGA is a Torah-based, on-line, virtual gathering of Believers. We do not use the term church as this has the image of a building and not of people. Likewise the term Christian is not used as this was first used as a derogatory term of early Believers. In a recent Census in the UK and one of the questions asked for the religion of the compiler. If a person was not a Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Atheist etc. or Other (the most common return was a Jedi Knight), then a person thought that they were a Christian.
FGA is non-denominational as this is not supported by Scripture.
FGA relies totally on Scripture and does not adhere to any man-made doctrine, creed or tradition.Traditionally, the months have been given the names associated with the Babylonian exile. FGA does not recognise pagan names, therefore the months in this section will be given their ordinal numbers (first, second etc.). Tradition is one form of continuing national, ethnical, cultural and familial identity and adds to the richness of communities. Although there is nothing wrong with tradition where it does not contradict or supercedes Scripture, it must be shunned were it does.
FGA does not use craven images (painted, sculptured or cast) but is not Quaker or Puritan.
FGA believes in using the Father’s revealed Name although is not Sacred Name.
FGA believes in the active Gifts of the Spirit although is not Charismatic Pentecostal.
FGA believes in Torah and the primacy of the Hebrew language especially in the ancient paleo form although is not Hebrew Roots.
FGA believes that both the land and the people of Isra`el are central to all history, present and future events. ‘Christianity’ has and never will usurp Yisra’el as Yahuah’s people and Believers are grafted into the Commonwealth of Yisra’el. FGA is not Dominionist, Reformationist nor Kingdom Now.
FGA acknowledges politics as the outworking of Biblical prophecy and how it affects the land and the people of Isra’el and the city of Yerushalayim and how it is used for social welfare of the needy in line with the Commandments but FGA is apolitical.
FGA celebrates Biblical Feasts/Festivals (Pesach/Passover, HaMatzot/Unleavened Bread, Counting of the Omer, Shavuot/Pentecost, Yom Teruah/Trumpets, Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement, Sukkot/Tabernacles/ Shmini Atzeret/Eighth Day and Purim) and each new moon.
FGA does not celebrate the pseudo-Christian pagan festivals of Christmas, Lent, Easter, Whit, May Day, Halloween, saints days nor any other religious festival. FGA does not celebrate astrology or New Age beliefs.
For further information please refer to the FGA Mission Statement, Belief Statement and Study Notes Prologue.
We at FGA believe there is only one Truth but that there are many roads to travel in order to get to that Truth. FGA is only one of these many roads. I personally started out on the Methodist road and then continued on the Charismatic Pentecostal road and onto many other roads, each time learning something more of the Truth. Some turns lead to dead ends, some along perilous paths. However, by trusting in the Spirit, the traveller will come to know that Truth. All travellers and sojourners will travel many roads in seeking the Truth and we at FGA welcome you on this road as part of your journey. If there comes a parting of the ways later on, then we at FGA will have been blessed by your company and fellowship and pray that we have been a blessing to you.
Thank you for your visit and we look forward to seeing you again.
